n our present Global Economy, there is a bipolar global economic hegemony which is causing a lack of development in areas that are not profitable for the capitalist economy, and which can not be funded by government programs due to lack of political power. We are in a money-power bind.
This obvious economic hegemony provides for only two degrees of freedom in our present economic interactions. The first, of course, is the transactional infrastructure to the capitalist global economy. The second allows People to interact with their government. Thus, we have developed a polarity between the public and private sectors, which constantly strive to dominate each other.
Sadly, over the last decade, with the emergence of the global economy, we have seen the increasing dominance of the business sector over the public sector. Public spending on social programs, education and ecological work has declined globally.
This bipolar world has caused untold suffering among those who are marginalized from both dominant sectors. The poor, ethnic minorities, political outcasts, women, all have not been able to reach power in either sector.
This condition is inherent in the bipolar structure of the system; there are simply no other economic options.
The world today has only two economic domains, which allow for only two degrees of economic freedom: that of the business sector, and that of the government sector.
What the world needs is to increase its economic space, by allowing for more economic degrees of freedom. We need to define new economic domains, by implementing new and effective economic models in the cybernetic space provided by the Internet. The new economy allows for multiple economic domains, not only the legacy domains we find ourselves in today.
If we can create economic domains for those groups who are now marginalized, we will achieve lasting global peace and prosperity, not for a few in rich nations, but for all those who are willing to work for it.
An economic degree of freedom is reached when the economic infrastructure exists which allows for People to interact economically in it. An economic domain is a cybernetic economic infrastructure consisting of financial models implemented on the Internet space. Economic domains interact with each other in the free market, which we now call the global economy. Economic domains are made up of communities that chose to participate in the domain's economic mode.
In the capitalist domain, corporations and private businesses are communities of People, working within the cybernetic structure of domain. These cybernetic structures implement the capitalist model upon the domain, by means of banks, insurance companies, stock markets, and in general, all financial systems within capitalism.
The present national government domains consist of hierarchical communities of state and local government entities, with a legally defined cybernetic infrastructure, which allow for tax collections and with implements programs based on budgeted expenses. There are at present two models of government domains, the capitalist model used in the west, and the emerging vantarist model from China.
Each domain implements is own chosen economic model by cybernetic means. There are several economic functions that can be defined within each domain, and several fundamental axioms that provide the foundation of the model.
In the private domain, the right to private property is axiomatic. In historical Stalinism, all property is under the control of the party. In China today, there are two simultaneous domains that were once thought to be incompatible. In China, property can be assigned to the Communist Party, but it is not the exclusive right of the party's vantarist domain. The Chinese business domain has property rights that are modeled on capitalism. The Chinese example shows that incompatible domains can co-exist symbiotically, if they interact in the free market exchange of goods and services.
May we one day see such symbiotic co-existence between former enemies, such as the Israelis and Palestinians, where two ethnic domains could one day be created and share the same National borders.
Domains are composed of communities, which may be real or virtual. Real communities are villages, cities, universities, schools and religious communities. Virtual communities are not necessarily physically in the same location. A business corporation is a virtual community. Clearly, the capitalist domain contains millions of virtual communities, all interacting with each other by way of the cybernetic infrastructure of the global market.
We are free from the fetters of physical history. It is no longer a requirement that communities be real, they may be virtual and interact in the same manner as a real community.
The emergence of the Internet has enabled the creation of virtual communities. A community of like-minded people may form a virtual political party, a virtual church, and a virtual group. New virtual communities will enable women to form their own Women's domain, which will implement the feminine domain by way of cybernetic systems that can be accessed through the Internet.
Historical examples of real communities with Christian Domains are the monasteries and nunneries of the Catholic Church. Each religious community implements it's own economic rules within the convent, and has a common economic interface to the world. Much can be learned by emulating the monastic orders of the past.
Villages in third world Nations may form village communities, which will interact internally in the village domain, and present a common economic interface to the rest of the Nation, essentially to the global economy.
Communities can be further sub-divided as defined by the needs of the domain. A five tier structure is the most complete: 1) the individual, 2) his/her family, 3) the community, 4) the domain and 5) the world. Each domain may choose to address the needs of each of these levels, or build it's own structure. All domains are based on the individual person, and all must interact at the world level in a common system, the free market.
All domains must interact on the world level by the same set of rules, with the same cybernetic structure. Since the global economy has build up the cybernetic structure of the free market, and it has been shown that the free market of goods and services provides for optimal economic development, it is the system of economic interaction on the global scale. In the global economy, all domains interact, compete with, and complement each other in the free market.
A world with more than only two domains will launch a new era of social justice, ecological progress and development. No longer will work be postponed because it does not fit the economic model of the current economic hegemony. Today, if an activity does not produce profit, it will not be done under the business domain. If a program does not reach political power in a Nation, it will not be implemented. This is the reason we are caught in a world that seems bent on self-destruction, where everything is done for money and power.
We need to free ourselves from this historical bind, and use the new Internet technology to create new economic domains. We can not continue to use money and power as the sole rationale for human activity. created us to develop the world, to protect life, and to pursue happiness. We can not continue to be the pawns of the rich and powerful, and wait ….
